Swagelok Center to host Atom Probe Tomography Seminar

CalendarThe Case Western Reserve University community is invited to learn more about atom probe tomography at a seminar hosted by the university’s Swagelok Center for Surface Analysis of Materials Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. in Olin 408.
Atom probe tomography (APT) is the highest spatial resolution analytical characterization technique with high-efficiency single atom detection for quantitative atomic scale 3-D elemental mapping of chemical heterogeneities.
The event features Katherine Rice, an applications scientist with Cameca Instruments in Madison, Wis.

An hour program will include topics like APT operational theory, APT sample preparation, data reconstruction and different applications for the technique. A period for discussion will follow the formal program.
Attendance is free but space is limited. To register please email Amir Avishai using “LEAP Seminar” in the subject line by Sept. 9.
