One sentence description describing what the Medical Technology Group does.

MTG strives to provide hands-on experience for engineers and all majors from any point throughout one's academic career, taking on projects that will directly benefit people.

What are some of the most notable events of your year?

Our design teams meet once weekly in order to work on certain components of each project. We have monthly general body meetings as well as a semesterly team bonding event that allows members to hang out, get to know each other, and have fun in a context outside of the projects. This year, we are working with United Cerebral Palsy, and it is truly transformative when we visit their facility and learn how we are helping the students.

Three words that describe your organization.

Collaborative, Impactful, Gratifying

What's your favorite part about being a member?

Design team meetings are not a huge time commitment, often just 1 hour per week. With the teams, it doesn't feel like work at all, and we gain valuable experience.

What do you think is the main reason people join your organization?

The major curriculum often does not allow for hands-on experience until senior year, something that will prepare us for our careers. Working in our club, you can get involved from as early as freshman year, and no prior experience is necessary!

How can students get involved?

Please reach out to Aritra Nag (axn431@case.edu) if you're interested in joining. We can certainly get you involved on a design team for next semester. Be sure to add us on CampusGroups and look out for our first General Body meeting in spring.
